PowerScale OneFS: Intelligence Behind Scale-Out NAS

PowerScale OneFS is the operating system powering the industry-leading scale-out NAS platform. It provides intelligence and flexibility across the highly scalable, modular storage architecture. OneFS enables seamless integration of all-flash, hybrid, and archive nodes within a cluster, ensuring performance, efficiency, security, and massive storage capacity for unstructured data workloads.

PowerScale all-flash platforms can coexist with existing Isilon nodes to support both traditional and modern applications, allowing organizations to leverage performance, flexibility, and scalability while reducing management complexity.

All-Flash Node Features and Scalability

The PowerScale all-flash platforms provide a 2U node design with up to 24 NVMe SSDs per node, enabling raw storage capacity from 46 TB to 368 TB per node, and up to 93 PB per cluster. These platforms include in-line compression and deduplication, improving storage efficiency without impacting performance. Minimum cluster size is three nodes, with a maximum of 252 nodes per cluster, offering unmatched scalability and flexibility for enterprise environments.
