    The Dell PowerVault MD Series delivers the flexibility to meet both storage capacity and performance requirements. MD1400 and MD1420 models are optimized for PowerEdge servers using PERC9 RAID controllers with 12Gbps SAS, providing unmatched I/O performance for database, media streaming, and storage-intensive applications.

    Meet your high-capacity storage needs by choosing your drive type and speed. Mix NL-SAS, SAS, and SSD drives within a single enclosure to enable effective data tiering and scalable performance. Non-disruptive expansion allows your storage to grow with your business demands.

    Flexible configurations for your business

    The MD1400 supports 3.5-inch or 2.5-inch hard drives in a 2U, 12-drive enclosure, expandable up to 8 enclosures and 96 drives. The MD1420 supports 24 x 2.5-inch drives in a 2U form factor, expandable up to 8 enclosures and 192 drives for high-capacity requirements.
