    Product Information

The HPE Aruba Networking CX 9300S-32C8D is a next-generation 8Tbps, 1U fixed configuration switch supporting 32-ports of 100GbE and 8-ports of 400GbE. The switch is an ideal solution for flexible, cost-effective, high-density 10-100GbE connectivity server, storage, and 400GbE intra-fabric connectivity.

    • HPE Aruba Networking CX 9300S-32C8D can be used as a 10/25/100G leaf providing 10/25G connectivity to existing servers and backward investment protection to existing DC deployments.

    • The CX 9300S-32C8D can support 6.4 Tbps of MACSEC and 4.8 Tbps of IPSEC/VXLANSEC1 for secure DCI.

    • The CX 9300S-32C8D can be used as spine for an end to end 28-rack MACSEC deployment with 100G leaf-spine links.

    • HPE Aruba Networking storage optimized: the CX 9300S-32C8D along with CX 9300-32D switches provides an ideal solution for a 100G/400G data center, cloud and storage use cases that support top-of-rack server/storage connectivity and scale-out leaf-spine fabric topologies. These innovative AOS-CX enhancements provide storage optimization to ensure low-latency and lossless network QOS and connectivity characteristics that storage requires.

    • Breakout cabling enables conversion of 100GbE to 4x25GbE or 4x10GbE when in 40GbE mode. This enables backward compatibility with existing server NIC deployments along with a forward path to 100GbE server connectivity.

    Data center security requirements

Organizations need to adopt a solution that is simple, scalable with streamlined operations that supports security and management features, such as encryption, authentication, firewalls, and network monitoring. This unified approach helps organizations to cut operational costs, improve visibility, automate and secure their network fabrics/landscape. The traditional approach to data encryption has essentially been through IPSEC platforms. The CX 9300S-32C8D extends encryption to cover IPSEC and VXLANSEC2 in addition to existing MACSEC2 capabilities. Alongside the need to provide cost-effective 100G and 400G performance parity between MACSEC and IPSEC, the rollout of EVPN-VXLAN within and across data centers has seen the evolution of new encryption requirements. While IPSEC solves the challenges of end-to-end security, agnostic to the underlying IP topology, it does not natively meet one crucial data center requirement – the need to encrypt a mixture of Layer 2 and Layer 3 services over a shared IP infrastructure. These encryption capabilities deliver on a new and evolving requirement for Data Center Interconnect (DCI) and co-location deployments.
